Employee Benefit Information

As one of the largest employers in Grand Forks, Development Homes, Inc. (DHI) strives to provide compensation and a benefit package that respects and values our employees. That is why many of our employees, both part-time and full-time, stay with Development Homes, Inc. for many years.

Platinum Benefit Package
(Full-time Employees)

Health Insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield of ND) – Single plan is 100% covered by DHI – No premium to FT employees.
    Single plus Dependents and Family coverage are available at the employee’s expense.

Dental Insurance (Delta Dental of MN) – Single plan is 100% covered by DHI – No premium to FT employees.
    Family coverage is available at the employee’s expense.

Health Savings Account (Alerus) - With enrollment in the Health Plan, DHI will provide employees with up to an additional $600 (single plans) per year to use towards medical expenses.

Flexible Spending Account (Alerus) - Employees may enroll in a Traditional or Limited Flexible Spending Account and contribute up to the annual maximum allowed by the IRS.

Vision Insurance (Avesis Vision) - Single, Single +1, and Family coverage available at the employee's expense.

Term Life and AD&D Insurance (UNUM) – Group plan 100% covered by DHI for a FT employee. 
    Additional Voluntary coverage is available at the employee’s expense.

Long-Term Disability Insurance (UNUM) - Coverage available at the employee's expense.

Paid Vacation Leave - Employees accrue paid vacation hours to use for rest and relaxation.

Paid Sick Leave - Employees accrue paid sick leave hours to use for illness and injuries.

*Full-time employees also qualify for all of the Gold and Silver Benefit Packages.


Gold Benefit Package
(Part-time Employees >20 hours per week)

401(k) Retirement Match (Alerus) - DHI will match up to 4% of an employee's wages, distributed into their 401(k) Plan. 
    *Annual Match

Supplemental Coverage (Colonial Life) - Accident, Cancer, Short-term Disability, Cancer, Critical Illness, Hospital, and Whole Life Insurance policies are available at the employee's expense.

*Part-time employees >20 hours per week also qualify for all of the Silver Benefit Package.
